Yi Jianlian

Yi Jianlian, 2.13 m tall, was born on October 27, 1987 in Guangdong Province.

In 1999, his talent was found by a local coach, and then he began his basketball training. When he was only thirteen years old, he joined the National Youth Basketball Team. In 2003, Yi Jianlian was admitted into Guangdong Industry University after the college entrance examination. One year later, he was chosen as a member of the Chinese National Basketball Team and in the same year he took part in the Athens Olympic Games. Yi Jianlian began to play in the NBA since 2007, and has become another Chinese international basketball star, following in the footsteps of Yao Ming!
