There was once a time where Gilbert Arenas was the most exciting basketball player in the world under 6 foot 6. He was 25 then, and shockingly, he is only 33 now. He is the same age as Dwyane Wade, 3 years older than LeBron James, and four years younger than Kobe Bryant.

I loved Arenas in his prime; one thing that people completely forget about is the blog that Arenas used to write for NBA.com (Agent Zero). It was honestly one of the most refreshing NBA player write-ups I have ever read, and still to this day, have not seen a player as candid as he was.

Here's an excerpt of the type of stuff he used to say:

His equivalent in today's game might be James Harden. Michael Jordan made me aware of the Wizards but Agent Zero made me a fan. Everything about those mid-2000s Wizards were weird/goofy/insanely fun to watch.

I'll never forget when this guy hits the game winner against Seattle in 07. He nails the layup as time expires, takes off his jersey, lays it in the middle of the court with his name side up, and walks off the court. That act's level of smoothness is off the charts.
